Design of a Battery Carrier - Simulation of Composites
in Projects
This practical training course enables the students to apply the theoretical and practical knowledge for the simulation and verification of composite structures and the simulation of selected manufacturing processes.
The core of this course was the design and simulation of a battery carrier to reach defined specifications regarding the maximum deformation and stress, the mechanical bonding loads of the rivets and the cohesive bonding of the different parts. A frequency analysis was also performed to assess the capability of the carrier to sustain buckling and to avoid that the resonance frequencies fall into the operating frequency range.
